This was my first experience for a bed and breakfast and it did NOT disappoint. We were greeted on the front steps by Paul with lemon water. After our initial greet and meet, Paul gave us a map of Asheville with several recommendations of what he thought we may like individually. He also made a great recommendation of following his directions into downtown than hopping on I-26. Mirlin (Hope I’m spelling correctly) showed us to our room and made sure we had everything we needed.
I honestly could not believe my eyes the next morning at breakfast. A delicious, beautifully presented, and well catered breakfast. We were also served the best coffee I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing.

Over the few days Paul & Mirlin got to know not just us but every guest within the mansion. They knew us by name and our individual likes and dislikes for breakfast. For example, they knew who liked cream, allergies, and even remembered where each person went the day before (if told) and asked questions about our day.

The four course meal needs its own review. Paul outdid himself every morning and I truly feel he could never get enough credit for the beautiful presentation and flavors. Mirlin made sure we had fine china to match the aesthetic of the breakfast. She also made sure we had everything we needed during breakfast.

Our room, Katie, was amazing. We were greeted by snacks, comfortable robes, and a beautiful rendition of the mansion’s history which remained present not just in our room but every part of the mansion.
Mirlin made sure daily us and the other guests had everything we needed.
Now, let me tell you about the view on the top balcony!

Wow. This was truly unexpected! The beautiful mountains of Asheville sit across from the balcony and make a beautiful landscape for a sunset that changes not only the colors of the sky but mountain top and valley.
We were able to stay through New Years. We stood on the balcony and watched fireworks around us. Including over the mountain landscape which was truly beautiful.

On New Year breakfast, we were served mimosas and had a cheers to the new year.
Make going to the Reynold’s Mansion a New Years resolution and put it on your bucket list. You will not be disappointed.
Paul and Mirlin, thank you for the wonderful experience of being your guest. I could not have asked for better hosts.

Paul, Mirlin and Team were incredible hosts. The Mansion was warm and comfortably decorated. The room, especially the Linda room, was roomy and beautiful. The espresso machine was a nice touch.

Paul’s culinary skills were on full display every day. His four course breakfasts are unique, filling, extremely tasty, and artfully plated.

Mirlin and the wait staff are so wonderfully attentive. They don’t miss a thing.

And best of all,Paul and Mirlin are so friendly and inviting. You always feel that their home is your home during your stay. Look no further. This is the B&B for you.

Our first visit to Asheville and the Reynolds Mansion was the perfect place to stay. Paul and his wife, Mirlin, were wonderful hosts. The historic home is situated on a wonderful hill with great views of the area. Breakfast each day was an event and the food was out of this world. Our room was comfortable and spacious and we enjoyed talking with the other guests during our stay. The staff took all the necessary precautions to ensure their guests were safe. We will definitely stay here in the future.

“Our first visit to Asheville was made all the sweeter by Paul and Mirlin at The Reynolds Mansion. Paul was incredibly accommodating and helpful prior to our arrival; I asked if he had a certain fruit juice (very important for me and I was prepared to bring my own) and he replied that he would have it for me during our stay.

Upon arrival Paul greeted us with a cold drink and lots of tips of where to go and what to see. We stayed two nights in the Claudette room and found it very comfortable and quiet. We loved having the upstairs porch to use.

Paul’s talent in the kitchen should not go unmentioned. Four-course Breakfasts were eagerly anticipated and thoroughly enjoyed! We found meeting other guests at the breakfast table a lovely aspect to our visit.

We would not hesitate to stay at The Reynolds mansion again when we’re next in Asheville.”

My wife and I absolutely loved our stay here. The house was charming and felt like a step back into another time. The music that continuously played throughout the common areas really added to the ambience. The room was decorated equally and was also cozy. Paul and Mirlin were wonderful hosts, genuine, knowledgeable about the history of the house, and also good for a chat. The breakfast was PHENOMENAL. Seriously, it was so good. Each course was a delightful surprise and seemed to get better with each day.

The location is good, a very quick drive to downtown or other areas of interest. While the property is near condos/townhomes/shops, once you get up there it does feel private. They’ve done a really nice job with the grounds.

We usually stay at different places when we visit Asheville but will be making sure to stay the Reynolds Mansion again on our next trip!

This weekend was the best anniversary yet! My wife was so happy with how seriously everyone in Asheville was about staying safe. The stay at the Reynolds Mansion was so awesome! It felt like we had stepped through a time machine! We stayed in the Maggie room. We would enjoy the sunsets on the second floor porch and the beautiful mornings on the first floor porch. The breakfasts were 4 courses and absolutely delicious. Thanks again for allowing us a chance to enjoy your beautiful home and we look forward to visiting again.
